Read Me
The source code of the book Mastering Delphi 6 is available in the Companion CD in multiple formats:
- You can browse the HTML version by chapter and example of using the cross reference of all of the identifiers, classes, and keywords used in the text (see the links below).
- You can copy specific examples from the CD to your hard drive to try them out (opening on a read-only media creates troubles to Delphi). Remember to remove the read-only flags after you copy the files and before opening them.
- As an alternative, you can copy the single file md6code.zip to your hard drive and expand it, to avoid any hassle with the read-only flag. This file includes everything but the executable files.
- Finally, the CD hosts the ready-to-use executable files of the examples. Notice that in a few cases they require specific demo databases, a web server with a proper configuration, the InterBase server, and the registration of COM server objects.
Notice: The source code for Chapter 16 is not available on the CD, in any format. See the author and publisher web sites for downloading it.
