Why a Payment for a Free Ebook?
I've made the Essential Pascal ebook (and the twin Essential Delphi ebook) available for free to anyone interested. As keeping them up to date and expanding them does require some effort, though, I think I'd rather describe them as freely available to anyone who cannot afford buying them (students, people is less developed countries) but I think it is reasonable to ask for a compensation for this work from anyone who can afford it and earns money as a computer professional (so that by reading this book will help him or her make more money).
In other words, by paying the author you don't gain extra material or services but support the development of this and other ebooks, keeping them free (instead of making me ask for money before I send you the book, which I'd hate to do). You also gain a license to use the material in a classroom environment (one student for each copy you buy -- contact Marco for arrangements).
Another possibility you have is to buy one of my printed books, of course, but in this case it is my publisher who will get most of the money, not me!
Payments with PayPal
I accept money from the PayPal users network, as this is the most cost-effective way to send and receive payments for small amounts of money. The amount I ask for is 5 Euros (about 6 US dollars).
